HVAC systems are essential building components that need to maintain operation immediately after a seismic event. Building codes require owners and consulting engineers to select seismic compliant HVAC equipment in seismic sensitive areas.
Many types of McQuay equipment have been rigorously rested for compliance to seismic qualifications from the following organizations.
- International Building Code (IBC) standards developed by the International Code Council
- California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD)
